This is a small box which would hold business cards or other small items. It has a red velvet interior only on the bottom and not the lid. The bottom of the box is not solid and feels like it is only the velvet. It has a good hinge and the clasp on the front is only decorative.

The item is gorgeous and i cant wait to give it as a christmas present. The only reason i didn't give the item 5 stars is because it is very small...It looks more like a ring box but all in all its beautiful and great quality! I would recommend this company and product most definitely.

Not sure what to add - it is indeed a silver box, no defects :) Only comment would be that "Antique" should be in quotes - it's in antique style, but clearly mass produced.

It is a nice box. The Lining is a soft red felt and it has more than enough room to fit our US Quarter sized Unity Coins inside.

My three year old suggested that "Mommy" get a music box or a jewlery box. Now, that I am a fan of Amazon I often look here before any other store, and with a few little clicks I found this little box. Now, it isn't a music box, but it was a perfect gift from son to Mom so I went with it. Actually was of heavy duty craftsmanship, and seems to be very durable. Silver plated I'm sure nothing to expensive, but certainly presents as such. My main complaint was that it actually had a little sticker "made in china"! We all know that items "made in China" often leave a negative impression? I would have preferred to spend more and gotten something made from Italy, Germany, Turkey or possibly the U.S., but this one was from China. I quickly removed the stickers not to insult the wife. Knowing that this little box was from China I almost feel as if I probably paid to much for it. The seller didn't specify where the item was from, and I never thought to really inquire. Nice red velvet inside, over all a nice little ring box. This would have gotten a "5" stars, but just knowing it was from "China" I can't, therefore, just 4 stars!

If there is still one thing positive about the "Logic" comment, then it must be that the super crafted gift is "Made in China". But actually with such heavy duty craftsmanship, let's guess which other country should we expect? Who created the most miracles in the world and who feed the Americans and raise the level and taste with her talent and efforts, it is unquestionable China. So if I ever have some hesitation to buy this box, I would not have it any more after I knew it's "made in China". And just because this I would definitely give it a 5+ star! What is more, if the quality of the box worth five stars, is it fair and "logic" to deny it just because the country that made it???If someone else also has the same so called "reasonable and logical" negative impression, then I advice you: Stop buying now! Sooner or later, You will sing from the bottom of your heart, "My life will suck without you!"
