First of all, I'm not sure if mine came from this seller exactly, but I bought an identical necklace from amazon a month ago, so I'm going to assume it's the same one. I'd been looking for a good pocket-watch necklace for a really long time with numerous disappointments, when I came across this one and impulsively bought it. It came two days later, with a handwritten thanks-for-your-business note, which was both touching and had detailed return instructions. The piece itself is exquisite, although a bit small when compared to a standard pocket watch. I remember reviews complaining about the size, and it's true that the clock face is about the size of a quarter, but it's actually the perfect size for it. It's a 3D orb, so basically you're wearing a glass ball with a working antique-looking clock inside of it. The chain tassel and spinning top part complete it. It's big enough so everyone notices it but not big enough to be annoying/gaudy, and it's so intricate and cool that I've gotten hundreds of complements on it. Definitely worth the money, you won't regret it and you'll never find anything else quite like it.(also--it's intended to be worn on a long chain that hangs mid-chest on me, so if you want a traditional neck-high necklace this is not the one for you)

My necklace hasn't broken yet, but as another review said, it's not a sturdy chain. The watch itself is gorgeous, but mine was ticking when it arrived, and already seems to be losing a few minutes each day.... about 15min/24hr so far, and with no instructions or labeling of any kind, I have no idea if the battery can even BE changed. It's a pretty piece, but don't rely on it as an actual timepiece. The tassle was not to my liking, so I replaced it with a antiqued looking feather in a similar patina.The globe is not glass, the half orbs on front and back are acrylic. The holder on which the watch swivels is plastic with a metal overlay (it feels light and flimsy). The watch itself is heavy and very sturdy, though I don't see any way to change the battery, a definite downside.

The watch itself appears slightly smaller than I had expected (trick of the glass, I think), but no less stunning for that. The dial has a little blue "gem" on it, which adds a nice touch -- it would be easy to add more "touches" to the end of the chain tassel, if desired. The metal piece that it hangs/swivels on is fairly heavy, but can be pried out of the watch itself without much difficulty yet without worrying that the watch might just fall off one day.The chain itself is delicate for such a heavy piece though -- looks-wise and physically. It broke on me when it barely snagged on something the first time I wore it. However, since a heavier chain looks better (imho), it might be worth simply replacing it with a heavier brass chain from the beginning. Well worth the price just for the watchpiece -- I dock a star only because the chain is too delicate for the weight of the watch imho -- and would make a great gift for anyone who likes steampunk, victorian pieces, or simply unusual jewelry/watches.

I have had so many comments on this watch. Your eye is just drawn to the orb of glass. Dress it up or dress it down this is a show stopper. Wish the chain was some wonderful metal, but for the cash you can't go wrong

This was quite a surprise. It is so hard to tell how items will be even with a picture. This one is great, and alot larger than I thought it would be.While the watch itself is small, the glass front and back make it easy to read.

My mother bought me this watch off my wishlist. The wishlist now says that the item was bought - so I know that the order she placed was for this awesome steampunk necklace watch. However the watch that arrived was a different necklace watch - I shiny generic silver one. Bummer. I'm not going to order from this seller again.
